Sara is thrilled to be at Centro and supporting the fight for justice and equality for all. Originally from Maryland, Sara moved to the Bay area about 9 years ago and never looked back. She fell in love with the East Bay when she moved from SF to Berkeley to attend Berkeley Law and is excited to continue living and help hold down the East Bay coalition in the office. Immediately after law school, Sara worked at the San Francisco Public Defender’s office, splitting her time between the Immigration Unit and the Criminal Defense Unit. Before joining Centro in April 2020, Sara worked on a variety of immigration cases at nonprofit Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach and a private immigration firm in SF. Sara is passionate about being part of a holistic movement to expand due process for all, regardless of where one was born or their lived experiences. Outside of work, Sara loves running, dancing, hiking, biking, playing soccer, and tending to her growing veggie garden.
